This is the Christmas version of one of the most popular mobile phone games out there. Don't pass this one by! The cold weather and Christmas season hasn't slowed down the birds or the pigs at all. Launch the birds at the pig's hideouts to squash the hiding pigs.

WHAC-A-MOLE Whacky Xams FREE by Kilo Games (free)
Get rid of some of your Christmas frustrations by taking a mallet and whacking a couple of moles with this fun, mindless game. Oh, I think the mole on the right looks like Uncle Stanley - you know, the one that is always sitting there around the Christmas tree quietly passing gas with a smile on his face.

Bubble Blast Holiday by Magma Mobile (free)

In Bubble Blast, you have to destroy all of the holiday themed christmas bubbles that appear on the screen. Each time you touch a bubble, it either expands to the next size, or it bursts. When a bubble bursts, it also impacts the surrounding bubbles by either bursting them or increasing their size. You have a limited number of touches for level. Therefore, you need to plan out your touches.

This is a jigsaw puzzle game where you drag the pieces around on the screen to complete the holiday image. The more you advance, the harder Christmas jigsaw puzzle gets.

City Jump Xmas Season by DroidHen (free)

In this game, you help either Santa or Rudolph jump between buildings, avoid obstacles, and kill enemies (I guess Christmas just got a little more ruthless this year!). Tap screen to jump. Kill enemies by jumping in the air. Avoid hurdles on walls. Power up by eliminating 3 enemies of the same kind.

RINGTONES FROM YOUR FAVORITE CHRISTMAS MOVIES AND SHOWS

Everyone has their favorite scenes from different Christmas movies or shows. It may bring back a fond memory or it may just be something that makes you crack up every time you see it. I've scoured the Android app market to find some free apps that take these scenes and turn them into ringtones that you can put on your phone.

NOTE:  There are other apps out there that provide ringtones for other classic Christmas movies and tv shows such as Elf, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Frosty The Snowman, etc. I didn’t provide info on these apps because they either are NOT free (Bah Humbug!) or require you to install another application in order to work (I think we already have too much to do this holiday season). Christmas Vacation Ringtones by Oliod (free)
This is one of my favorite Christmas movies, as it provides some some relief from the non-stop barrage of sappy holiday shows and captures the reality of what most people are really experiencing while getting ready for Christmas. This app provides various sound bites from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation movie. While it would be hard to get all of the great sound bites from this movie, I found a lot of the more classic lines were either missing or cut short, including one of my favorites by Clark Griswald:

“Hey! If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit he is! Hallelujah! Holy s@$%! Where's the Tylenol?”

The sound quality is mixed with some clips being clear and others not. Also, the volume level seems to fluctuate from clip to clip. Be aware though that this app will copy the audio file to your SD card and does not provide a way to delete the file within the app. To delete, you will have use a file manager such as Astro or connect your phone to your computer and delete it that way. The developer is working on adding a delete function to the app. In the meantime, here is how to delete the file from your computer: 
1. Close down the app, and plug your phone into a PC (mount as external disk).
2. Browse to the folders on the device.
    \media\audio\ringtones
    \media\audio\notifications
    \media\audio\alarms
3. Delete the files in those folders.
4. Reboot the phone.
Now the ringtones will be gone from the lists in the phone settings.

A Christmas Story Soundboard by Dream Portal Entertainment (free)
This app has a collection of sound bites from the infamous A Christmas Story movie. Over 80 sound bites are provided and cover most of the classic lines including, “You'll shoot your eye out, kid.” and dialogue from when Flick is triple dog dared to lick the flag pole.  Clips are broken into five categories:  Narrator, Ralphie, Randy, Family, and Other. Sound quality is good.

A Charlie Brown Holiday Sounds by Dream Portal Entertainment (free)
This app provides sound clips from A Charlie Brown Christmas and A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. All of the best known clips from the shows seem to be available, however, the sound quality on some of them seem to be lacking. A list of interesting facts are also provided about the two shows.

Amid all of the holiday craziness that seems to be in full swing now, I have put together a collection of Christmas wallpaper apps. Because let’s face it, after decorating your house, the yard, the tree, your office, the car, Christmas cookies, and the dog, how can you not decorate your phone?!?!
 
Christmas Wallpapers by Sancron (free)
This app provides over 50 different Christmas themed wallpapers.  A wide range of images are provided, including, photographs, graphics, Winnie the Pooh, a Charlie Brown Christmas, Anne Geddes, etc. Open the app to scroll through the different wallpaper images and then press and hold the screen to open the wallpaper menu and set your new wallpaper.

Christmas Wallpapers by App Elves (free)
This app provides a collection of over 100 Christmas themed wallpapers to choose from. Images consist of strictly graphics. Open the app to scroll through the images. A set wallpaper button is provided in the app.

Christmas Wallpaper Changer by Ubergraphic (free)
This app is different from a lot of the other wallpaper apps in that it can be set up to automatically change the 19 different wallpapers provided. You can set up the app to change the wallpaper randomly and set the interval at which the wallpaper changes.

This app provides a live wallpaper of multi-colored Christmas lights around the edge of your screen that blink. To install, press Menu > Wallpaper > Live wallpapers > Christmas Lights.

Christmas Magic Live Wallpaper by Wolf Labs (free)
Here is another live wallpaper app. Snowflakes gently fall on a snow covered landscape of Christmas trees. Touch on the snowflake and see it change into something interesting. Shake your phone for more surprises. You can customize the settings and edit the snowflake into different sizes and transparency, speed etc.

This live wallpaper app shows a decorated Christmas tree with lights and snow falling in the background. In the settings, you can change the type of tree, speed or snow, quantity of snow, color of lights, shape of lights, number of lights, and the sparkle of the lights. You can also purchase (for $0.93) the MyTree option which will let you design your own Christmas trees for this wallpaper.

Sleeps to Christmas Countdown by Neuro Software (free)
This app is a live wallpaper that displays an image of Santa Claus holding a sign that says how many “sleeps” are left till Christmas. I don’t know why it says “sleeps” and not “days”, but to each their own I guess.
