Happy Hanukkah everyone! To help celebrate the holiday, I've put together a selection of free apps to keep you in a festive mood.
Menorah - Chanukah - חנוכה (free)
This app shows you how many candles to light for each day, in which order to light them, and includes Hebrew, English and Transliterated prayers for the Jewish Holiday of Chanukah. Prayers are sung by the vocalist Mo Kiss. A widget function keeps the Menorah on your homescreen.

Droidel (free)
Droidel is an Android version of the game of Dreidel. Dreidel is a game of chance played on the Jewish holiday of Chanukah. In this version, each player begins with $10.00. At the beginning of each round, every participant puts $1.00 into the "pot". Each player spins the dreidel once during their turn. Depending on which side is facing up when it stops spinning, they give or take money from the pot:
- If נ (nun) is facing up, the player does nothing.
- If ג (gimel) is facing up, the player gets everything in the pot.
- If ה (hei) is facing up, the player gets half of the pieces in the pot. (If there is an odd number, they round up)
- If ש (shin) or פ (pei) is facing up, the player adds a game piece to the pot.
